Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Rotation and flipping happen locally in your browser with Canvas. Images never leave your device and memory is cleared when you download or refresh.
Does a 90° rotation lose quality?
Rotating 90/180/270 moves pixels exactly and is virtually lossless; JPG/WebP outputs are re-encoded at your chosen quality. Pick PNG for lossless output.
Does a custom angle crop the picture?
Custom angles rotate within the original canvas — corners outside the canvas are clipped and empty areas are filled white (JPG) or transparent (PNG). For horizon fixes, stay within ±15°.
Does it strip the EXIF orientation from phone photos?
Yes. Pixels are re-encoded in display orientation, so the output no longer depends on the EXIF rotation tag and looks the same on every device.
