FAQ
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All resizing happens locally in your browser with Canvas. Images never leave your device and memory is cleared when you download or refresh.
Will shrinking reduce image quality?
Downscaling is a normal operation and results look sharp. This tool uses step-wise downsampling to reduce aliasing and outputs at 92% quality by default; choose PNG for lossless output.
Can I enlarge images?
Yes, but enlarging adds no detail — beyond 2x the original it looks visibly blurry, so "shrink only" is on by default. Uncheck it when you really need to upscale.
How do presets work with the aspect lock on?
Clicking a preset fills in both width and height; with the lock on, the height is recalculated from the width using the original ratio, so the picture is never stretched. Turn the lock off for exact dimensions.
