FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Text extraction runs entirely in your browser with pdf.js. Your PDF is never uploaded, and the data is cleared when you download or refresh the page.
Will the original layout be preserved?
Paragraphs and line breaks are preserved, which suits text-first documents. Complex tables, multi-column layouts and stylized text may come out in a different order — a quick review after download is recommended.
Why is the extracted text empty?
That PDF is a scan or image-based file — its pages contain images with no text layer, so nothing can be extracted directly. Use the Image to Text (OCR) tool to recognize the content instead.
Are encrypted PDFs supported?
PDFs that open without a password are supported. Files that require a password to open are not — please remove the password first. Limits: 50 MB and 200 pages per file.
